The West Wing provides viewers a glimpse into presidential politics in the nation's capital as it tells the stories of the members of a fictional presidental administration. These interesting characters have humor and dedication that touches the heart while the politics that they discuss touch on everyday life.

Season five brought some newcomers to the show when Gary Cole began a recurring role in episode three as new Vice President Russell and Steven Culp ("Thirteen Days") began a recurring role in that same episode as Speaker of the House Jeffrey Haffley.
